2013 Jungle Concerto Art Workshop

May 25, 2013

A group of 17 student teachers from the National Institute of Education was invited to help organise tactile art workshops – Jungle Concerto for visually impaired and low vision children.

The event which took place in our Centre on Saturday, 25 May 2013, saw a group of children who are visually impaired and low vision streaming into our Centre with their family and friends.

The children had a fun filled day of games and tactile art workshops. The children learnt to make musical instruments as well as animal displays as part of the tactile art workshops. Through this Jungle Concerto, the children gained exposure to tactile art.

Their parents enjoyed watching their children doing the art displays. They had the opportunity to find out more about iC2 PrepHouse and its services.

The event would not have been possible without the support and sponsorship of the National Youth Council’s Young Changemakers Grant, the Singapore Society of Opthamologists and McDonald’s.
