I had stopped by the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) to get my then eight-year-old son’s refraction done on a Saturday morning. As it turned out, his slowness in response to the optometrist’s queries heralded a tough time for our family which surprisingly, led my husband, Beng Ti, and I to discover a public spiritedness that we never knew we had.” Dr Audrey Looi [Read more]
“They say “necessity is the mother of all inventions”. It was indeed a need for support that led to the founding of iC2. In the early 2000’s, a few parents of children with visual impairment came together to form a support group to share experiences and resources, and to give mutual support and encouragement. We also wanted to acquire the means to develop our children, socially, academically and emotionally.” Lee Lay Hong [Read more]
