2022 Kids Konnect X Project IGNITUS (11 June)

Project IGNITUS is an initiative championed by three National University of Singapore (NUS) alumni to advocate for a more inclusive society through educational activities. Our students and their siblings were invited for a half-day program to learn about emotions through a series of activities. There were games, music and movement, arts and craft, and even a skit put up by the volunteers. Everyone had a fun-filled morning with ‘happy’ being the emotion of the day!

2022 Haw Par Junior and Youth Athletics Meet

Another Feather in Our Champions’ Caps

Five of our athletes under the Athletics for VI programme led by Coach Saravanan participated in the Haw Par Junior and Youth Athletics Meet, organised by Para-Athletics Singapore, on 12 March 2022.

Our athletes took part in track and field events, including the Run, Step, Jump, a modified version of the Long Jump.

Our athletes’ achievements in this meet serve as a testament to their passion and commitment towards their weekly training with Coach Sarav.

The final medal tally for iC2 PrepHouse was 5 Gold and 2 Silver. At iC2 PrepHouse, we remain steadfast in our belief to enable and inspire our students through sports. Our heartiest congratulations to all athletes.

2022 Parents Konnect – 26 Feb 2022

On 26 February 2022, we started the first Parents Konnect via Zoom. Mr Douglas Wee, the parent of our student, Jonathan, graciously shared his journey as a parent of a child with a visual impairment. He also shared some of the valuable resources he got along the way and useful tips with three other parents. The other parents found this a great way to connect with others on a similar path and share in a safe space. We hope more parents will join us in our next Parents Konnect and build up this support network.

2022 Lego Coding Module 2

It was another fun-filled Saturday morning at Tech Able for five of our students. Jason and Annie from Curious Squirrel brought our young coders through sensor activated fans and race car science. Besides learning about coding, participants also learned about energy conservation and the method of scientific inquiry through testing of hypothesis! What an enriching start to the weekend!.
All this was made possible with the generous support from Airbus Community Impact Project as well as Tech Able and Curious Squirrel. The participants, their parents and iC2 PrepHouse would like to say a big “thank you” everyone for an invaluable experience. We look forward to more of such opportunities!

The Courage Fund Appreciation Scheme

iC2 PrepHouse staff would like to say a BIG “Thank you” to NCSS (National Council of Social Service) for The Courage Fund Appreciation Scheme. The Courage Fund Appreciation Scheme appreciates the staff at the forefront contributing to the COVID-19 efforts. Our wellness pack consist of hand sanitisers, 3-ply masks, 5x ART kits and 45 Redoxon tablets. Our staff are better prepared to serve our visually impaired students with this pack.

Once again, thank you, NCSS!

A proud moment for iC2 PrepHouse!

We are proud and excited to share that our iC2 student, Colin Soon has bagged another gold medal to his collection making it his fourth gold medal on Monday 6 Dec 2021. Colin clocked 1min 2sec in the S11-13 100m freestyle (boys’ 12-16). He also managed to break the S12 national record of 1:10.75 set by our very own iC2 Chairman, Wong Meng Ee, at the Asean Para Games in 2001.

Well done and heartiest congratulations to Colin!
