2019 Gardens By The Bay
Our beneficiaries embarked on a whimsical journey through the iconic landmarks in the Nordic countries that includes the distinct architecture of the Bolgen building in Denmark, Santa Claus Village in Finland, Hallgrimskirkja church in Iceland, Vennesla library in Norway and Triangeln train station in Sweden at Gardens by the Bay’s Poinsettia Wishes floral display this Christmas.
2019 Christmas Party
Our 2019 Christmas cum Sports and Volunteer Appreciation Party was one filled with delightful memories! Our guests were entertained by a mini-concert of piano and dance performances by our students. Adding to this joyous occasion are the blessed donated Christmas gifts from our co-event organizer, St James’s Place, for our students and their siblings. On top of that, St James’s Place had also set up a photo and games booths for added enjoyment.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks as well to some of our parents for their blessed goodie bags, sweets and cookies for the occasion. Thank you St James’s Place, our students, our volunteers, all parents and their families for making this event a successful and memorable one.
2019 Givaudan CSR
iC2 PrepHouse partners with Zeles Network to bring awareness on visual impairment to the staff of Givaudan Singapore. The staff of Givaudan Singapore experienced visual impairment through games and took part in a tactile workshop to make concept cards for our young learners.
2019 SDSC Athletics Academy Introductory Workshop
In light of launching an Athletics Academy for the visually impaired youths, a parent workshop was conducted by Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) to share about the benefits of fundamental movement and how our clients can participate in athletics. This initiative aims to gear them towards a more active lifestyle. A try-out session was also conducted by Coach Saravanan for our clients to experience a sneak preview of the various activities and sports that will be part of the upcoming Athletics Academy in 2020.
2019 Training Session on Assistive Technology
The teachers from Bedok South Secondary School attended a half-day training session on Assistive Technology in iC2 PrepHouse lead by Natasha, Assistant Vision Teacher. The training included hands-on activities using a screen reader and awareness of using a braille notetaker.
