POSB and People’s Association (PA), in its 10th year of collaboration, encouraged the spirit of giving back to the community through the ‘Sponsor a Buddy’ programme. Under this programme, five of iC2 PrepHouse’s students and their parents were sponsored to participate in the 3.5km Family Walk segment. The participants had fun completing the evening walk and the fun-filled activities at the mega carnival.

iC2 PrepHouse participated in the White Cane Community Day 2018 organised by Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd (GDS). White Cane Day celebrates the abilities and successes of people with visual impairment and provides a platform for understanding and awareness of the community and of guide dogs. A booth was set up to raise awareness for iC2’s services and merchandise was sold to raise funds. A portion of the funds raised will be donated to GDS.

On 2 September, Mud Rock Ceramics organised a pro bono pottery session for the students and staff of iC2 PrepHouse. A big thank you to Michelle, Seok Har and their clay commune members who took time off to volunteer in this session. The students and staff had a great time learning about touching the clay at different stages and throwing on the wheel with Mud Rock volunteers.

SG Enable is partnering iC2 PrepHouse for the very first time in organising a benefit dinner – THE ENABLING FUND GALA, to raise donations for persons with disabilities such as children and youth with vision impairment. The money raised will go to both the TODAY Enable Fund and iC2 PrepHouse.

We are honored to have the presence of our Guest of Honour, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, the TODAY Enable Fund’s patron. Special thanks to all our gracious donors, guests, clients and parents for making this event a successful one.

iC2 PrepHouse’s assistant vision teacher Sangeetha, conducted an awareness talk at Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Singapore for the staff to know more about our organisation and the work we do.
