2023 November Kids Konnect X SAM Touch Collection Workshop

iC2 students and their siblings attended another touch collection workshop by Singapore Art Museum (SAM). This time, they were introduced to Justin Lee’s artwork* titled East & West, represented by a 3D sculpture of a terracotta warrior. As part of their learning and exploration, the participants had the chance to work with terracotta, a coarse and porous clay. They created textures on it using different tools like Lego blocks, screws, bottle caps and many more, they cut and molded their final product by using a cookie cutter of their choice. It was a perfect art piece for the participants to use as room decorations or as Christmas ornaments for the upcoming festive season!
